We serve as the voice of the industry in efforts to communicate industry matters to association members, legislative leaders, regulators, the news media and the general public.

Please Join Us Our Next “Sharing Lunch”, July 16th

Dear Fellow MAPSS Member,

Based on the attendance and positive feedback from our “Sharing Lunch” event last month, the St. Louis Board of Directors of MAPSS would like to invite you to join us for our next in the ongoing series. We would like you to join us to share issues of the day, best practices and see how your peers might be able to provide suggestions/techniques for successful business solutions.

Our inaugural meeting was attended by about 20 fellow MAPSS owners. The moderated discussion was lively, thoughtful and beneficial. We had a very positive response as evidenced by virtually every attendee saying they would come to another similar event.

We’re once again limiting the invitations to existing members of MAPSS who are owners of their companies. The group will include both contingency and retained recruiters as well as owners of staffing companies. We encourage candid participation and sharing of issues as well as techniques that are working (or not working). We are creating an atmosphere of open cooperation, where participants can contribute to each other and learn from each other. There is not necessarily a set agenda, we’re interested in addressing what you consider to be your most important issues of the day. If you have a topic you’d like some feedback on, just let Paul know when you RSVP.

Last time, some of our topics included:

  • What’s your new business approach?
  • Where do you see the marketing in the next three to six months.
  • Fee Erosion and how to deal with it
  • Communications with Clients (getting calls returned, strategic conversations, etc.)
  • Retention, Motivation and Morale of Staff.

The event will again be held in a private room at Pujols 5 in Westport on July 16th. The doors will open at 11:30 for a bit of networking and we’ll sit down for lunch before 12:00. Everyone will be able to order off the usual Pujols menu, and we’ll each pay for our own meal with a separate check.<.p>

We hope you’ll be able to join us for what has become a recurring event. The St. Louis Chapter Board is interested in providing forums of interest and value to our members, without the “typical” trainer and higher expense approach. There is member excitement about this event.
